The European Healthy Soils Conference Series will kick off its first edition focused on the topic of soil fertility from 13 to 15 September 2023 in Muttenz, Switzerland. The event will explore the relevance of healthy soils and soil fertility as prerequisite for a functioning society, environment, economy, and climate. There will be a wide range of topics covered, with a couple of sessions especially interested for the FER-PLAY project stakeholders: “Remote sensing of cover crop legacies on soil health and main crop N-uptake dynamic”, by Nikolaos Christos Vavlas from Wageningen University on 14 September; and “Soil regeneration and circular bioeconomy”, by Catia Bastioli from Novamont on 14 September; as well as a presentation of the ConSoil project. More details about the programme.
It is co-organised by the FHNW School of Life Sciences and Agroscope, under the umbrella of the European Federation of Biotechnology divisions of Plant, Agriculture & Food and Environmental Biotechnology.
